Larrinaga lands Lehendakari-lead

Jon Larrinaga moved into the lead of the Torneo Lehendakari-series yesterday with a sixth place in Laukiz.

The 100km Basque race was hugely successful for the new-look sub-23 team. While the win went (once again) to Caja Rural and Carlos Jiménez in a sprint from a 30-something group, Naturgas Energía placed three riders in the top ten, took the overall lead, won the team ranking, the mountains classification and Metas Volantes classification.

Estévez was king of the Metas Volantes, whilst Chetout came out tops in the KOM competition.
