Samu wins criterium

Samu won the Criterium Internacional de Ciclismo de la Comunitat Valenciana on Sunday. 23 professional riders competed in the annual end-of-season race. Samu took the initiative early on by winning the points race and placing second in the elimination race, and eventually also landed the overall. After the race it was time for something special; Samu versus a Formula 2 car. Incredibly Samu only just lost out. It was a great spectacle though nonetheless.

Where can I see the formula 2 car vs Samu? At least, I think you've seen it too, according to your text.

Please :D

I am looking for favourites for Lombardia and there are not too mutch. Will Samu be abble to fight for the podium in Lombardia? I think that he's one of the most important favourites for the last race of the season.

It would be "la oxtia".

Go Samu!!!

I think he can. He is (I think) not as tired as other riders, and as everybody knows, there is no Ricco, Bettini, Schleck etc.

Main competitors will be Rebellin, Cunego (who is in good form again) and also Di Luca who was good last weeks in the semi - classics.

But he will definately have a chance of winning the whole thing, especially because of that last downhill!

Don't know if you've seen it, but in this months Cycle Sport there's an interview with Samu, where he says some nice things about the team:

"If I'm a pro cyclist today, it's all thanks to Miguel Madariaga. Part of this medal (Olympic Gold) belongs to him, part of it belongs to his son Victor".

"I really don't think I will ever be in another team, in fact, and in any case I've got a contract until the end of 2010".

There's also another line witch I find very interesting:

"I've worked hard all my life. Like the Tour stage in 2003 when I reached Alpe d'Huez outside the time cut, the same stage that Iban Mayo won. I told myself that one day I would climb up Alpe d'Huez with the favorites , the top guys, and this year I finished second behind Carlos Sastre".
