Close shave for Koldo

Koldo pulled off an amazing sprint today to claim a fantastic second on the 6th stage of the Vuelta. Only Freire bettered him, while he beat the likes of Petacchi, Davis, Boonen, Korff, Greipel, Bennati, Bettini and Duque. That's just great from Koldo. He was just inches away from claiming a famous win. Aupa! The rest of the team came in with the pack today, except for Aitor, who seems to be struggling quite a bit. Aitor came in 55 seconds adrift, though that's not of great importance. Going into the 7th stage, Samu is 17th overall, Igor 18th and Dioni 26th. That's not bad at all is it?!

Really good sprint from Koldo. Euskaltel can have a lot of pleasure from him in the future!

For sure. That's why it's so great he extended his contract earlier this year!

Great sprint from Koldo. Finally there's excitement watching sprints with Euskaltel. Hopefully a time trial specialist isn't far away:)

That would have been awesome. I'm afraid though that there aren't too many good Basque TTists. I guess Mikel is the best one...

Magnus, do you anything about Javier Aramendia and his primary skills? It's gonna be exciting to follow him the next weeks in Tour de l'Avenir.

Aramendia is a good all-rounder in fact. He's no sprinter, but is good on long and short climbs, as well as in TTs he's not too bad. Reallu exciting prospect; he might do something big in France.
